Tropical Cyclones and Human Health

The World Health Organization expects climate change to cause approximately 250,000 additional deaths per year between 2030-2050. Dr. G. Brooke Anderson, Assistant Professor of Epidemiology in CSU’s Department of Environmental & Radiological Sciences (ERHS), presented her research on Tropical Cyclones and Human Health to demonstrate how the health impacts of climate change are researched and communicated.   Dr. Anderson’s presentation aligns with a One Health approach as it includes examples of climate impact on human, animal and environmental health.
