The COHA Interprofessional Education Symposium is a national gathering of educators, clinicians, researchers, students, and other professionals to explore the overlap of One Health and Interprofessional Education and imagine a future where IPE and One Health grow synergistically.

The theme of the symposium this year is Veterinary Medicine and IPE: Defining One Health. This year, we are excited to host our meeting in conjunction with the pre-forum activities at the National Academies of Practice annual meeting. The goal of this symposium is to explore and coordinate the work being done across a variety of medical education settings.

Highlights include:

  • Keynote speaker experts discussing collaborative intersections of IPE, One Health, and the veterinary profession
  • Abstract session to share One Health and IPE opportunities that include veterinary professionals
  • Networking and brainstorming opportunities for creating new collaborative teaching practices and research

This symposium is the output from a grant from the Clinical and Translational Science Award One Health Alliance (COHA). It represents a partnership among COHA institutions, including Colorado State University, the University of Colorado–Anschutz, the University of Florida, the University of Minnesota, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Wisconsin.
